Matthew R. Kutz

Contributor, Kingdom Leadership International

Matthew Kutz (Ph.D.) is married his best friend the love of his life, Angie. Together they have two adult sons and live in Perrysburg Ohio. His favorite roles are husband, father, and friend. Additionally, Matt has been active in local church ministry since 1996 and is an Elder and Teaching Pastor at Foundation Stone Church in Northwood, Ohio and is a Director of Apostolic Team Ministries International (www.atmintl.org). His passion is to help leaders live out Romans 12:8 “If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously” (NLT).

In Matt’s day-job, he is a Clinical Professor at Florida International University where he teaches entrepreneurial and global leadership in the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Matt is a Board-Certified Coach, a Certified DISC Consultant, a Certified Human Behavior Consultant, a Certified Athletic Trainer, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and creator of the Contextual Intelligence Profile™.

Matt has a PhD’s in Global Leadership and is an award-winning author, educator, and researcher. He is an acclaimed international scholar and thought leader, whose leadership and contextual intelligence research has had a global impact. He is a Fulbright Scholar (University of Rwanda, College of Medicine and Health Sciences) and a Visiting Research Fellow to Griffith University’s School of Medicine. He is faculty at the acclaimed Institute for Management Studies (IMS) and has written dozens of scholarly journal articles and five books. His book on Contextual Intelligence has been translated into Korean and was honored with a Leadership Book Award for Innovation and Cutting-Edge Perspective. In his “spare time” he is a leadership development consultant with Fortune 500 and multinational companies including P&G, Marathon Petroleum, Brother Intl., The Cleveland Clinic, and Airtel Ltd. For fun Matt enjoys “competing” recreationally in triathlons, 5K’s and 10K’s. He loves to travel and has trekked an active volcano to scout endangered Mountain Gorillas of Uganda, cage dove with Great White Sharks off the most southern tip of South Africa, walked the Great Wall of China, hiked the Georgia leg of the Appalachian Trail, visited Bag End (fictional Hobbit Hole of Bilbo Baggins) and Rivendell (fictional home J.R.R. Tolkien’s elves) in New Zealand, visited the ancient Library of Celsius in Ephesus, Turkey, took a gondola ride with the most beautiful woman in the world on the Grand Canal in Venice, snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef, and has eaten at about 20 (and counting) Diner, Drive-ins, & Dives.
